Tenses in English in general are 12 tenses. They are as follow: simple present, simple past, simple future, present continuous, past continuous, future continuous, present perfect, past perfect, future perfect, present perfect continuous, past perfect continuous, and future perfect continuous. Each tense has its own use and function.  This blog  explains the present tense in particular, which consist of four categories: simple, continuous, perfect, and the perfect continuous.

 The present tense is a very important tense in the English language, because it is used in a great number of very different situations in our lives. It is relatively easy to understand for people learning English. However, it is the best tense to learn first. OK, now it’s time to have a look at the uses of this tense. in brief the uses of the present tense are as follow: expressing facts, habits, routines, as well as indicating an action in the future..Etc. To have a look in detail, go through my lesson below.

Be aware of:

If the subject is (He, She, or It) add “has” after the subject.
If the subject is (I, they, we, or you) then add “have”.
  • We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. You CANNOT use the Present Perfect with specific time expressions such as: yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Japan, at that moment, that day, one day, etc. We CAN use the Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, etc.
